Wataha Care

Your website in the best hands

A website does not break on launch day — it breaks slowly. A certificate expires, a library ages, a form quietly stops reaching the inbox, and nobody notices, because the site still opens. Which is why care does not begin at the outage, but in the months when apparently nothing is happening. And why hosting is a line inside it rather than a separate bill — nobody can answer for a site whose server they cannot reach.

What happens to a website when nobody is watching it

A live site changes on its own, without a single click from you. Five things that happen to every one of them — and what we do about each in your place.

  1. 01

    Availability

    What happens on its own

A server, an integration or the domain stops responding in the middle of the night. The site is still in the search results, it just will not open — and the first person to find out is a customer, not you.

    What we do

A machine checks the site at fixed intervals and the alert goes to us, not to you. The fix starts from a monitoring report rather than from an annoyed phone call.

    How you check it

The date, time and length of every outage recorded in the monitoring history — something to look at, not to take on trust.

  2. 02

    Speed

    What happens on its own

Nobody slows a site down in one move. It is one more uncompressed image, one more external script, one more section added along the way — until the page loads noticeably slower than on handover day.

    What we do

We track load times over time and look for the one element that made them worse, instead of optimising everything at once. A drop in performance usually has a single cause and a single date.

    How you check it

Successive performance measurements of the same page placed side by side — what counts is the direction between them, not one score on its own.

  3. 03

    Security and updates

    What happens on its own

The libraries a site is built from receive security patches. A site that never gets them stands on older code with every month that passes — and the bots scanning for known holes do not take weekends off.

    What we do

We update dependencies on a schedule and check the site after every update, instead of installing new versions only on the day something breaks. Unusual traffic and login attempts go under observation.

    How you check it

A list of what was updated and when — with dates, not with an assurance that “everything is up to date”.

  4. 04

    Content changes

    What happens on its own

The phone number changes, the opening hours, a price, one person in the team. A five-minute edit waits for weeks, because each time it means finding someone, getting a quote and approving it — so the site keeps saying something untrue.

    What we do

Small changes are requested in a single email and fit inside the package, without a quote every time. Larger work is still priced separately, but you know that before we start it.

    How you check it

The number of hours for edits is written into the package, and every request has a date it came in and a date it was done.

  5. 05

    Renewal dates and bills

    What happens on its own

The domain, the certificate and the hosting each have their own expiry dates, scattered across several inboxes and several invoices. One missed renewal email is enough for the site to disappear, even though everything on it worked.

    What we do

We run the site on our infrastructure and watch those dates on our side. Hosting is a line inside the care plan, not a separate service you have to remember.

    How you check it

One subscription on a monthly rhythm instead of several renewals on different dates — and one place where those dates are written down.

What does it all mean?

Click on any item to find out exactly what it covers and why it matters for your website. We explain everything in plain language, without technical jargon.

Hosting on VercelThe place where your website lives on the internet

Hosting is like renting an apartment for your website. Vercel is one of the best hosting companies in the world — used by companies like Nike, McDonald's and Twitch. Your site will run lightning-fast because Vercel's servers are distributed around the world. When someone in London visits your site, it loads from a European server. When someone in the US visits — from an American server. This means the site loads quickly for everyone.

Hosting managementWe handle all the technical settings

Hosting requires configuration — setting up the domain, security certificates (that padlock in the browser), redirects, etc. It's like managing a building — someone has to keep everything running. We take care of all this for you, so you don't have to worry about any technical details. If something needs to be changed or updated — we'll do it.

Uptime monitoringWe check that your website is running non-stop

Every few minutes we automatically check whether your website opens and works correctly. If for any reason the site goes down (e.g. a server problem), we receive an immediate notification and can react quickly. This means we find out about problems before your customers do. We often fix an outage before anyone has a chance to notice anything was wrong.

Performance monitoringWe track how fast your website runs

Page speed matters enormously — if a page takes more than 3 seconds to load, half of visitors leave. We monitor loading times, check which elements slow the site down and react when something starts performing worse. Google also rewards fast websites in search results, so by looking after performance we help your SEO too.

Backup (data backup)Regular copies of your website in case of failure

A backup is a copy of your website — like a snapshot of the entire site at a given moment. If something goes wrong (e.g. you accidentally delete important data, the site is attacked by a hacker, or something breaks during an update), we can restore the site to its previous state. The more frequent the backup, the less data you'll lose in the event of a problem. A backup every 6 months means we can roll the site back up to 6 months. A monthly backup — up to one month.

Email/phone supportYou can write or call us with questions

Got a question about your site? Want to change something? Something not working as it should? You can email or call us and we'll help. In the Basic package we respond within standard times (usually within 1–2 business days). Priority support means your requests are treated as urgent and we respond faster (usually within a few hours).

Minor editsSmall changes to the site included in the package

As part of the care package you can ask us for minor changes to your site — e.g. changing text, updating a phone number, adding a new photo, fixing a typo. Edit time is how many minutes/hours per month you can use for such changes without extra charges. 15 minutes is enough for 2–3 simple text changes. 1 hour allows for more changes or more complex edits. 2 hours gives you the possibility to make larger changes, such as adding a new section to the site.

Technical updatesWe keep your site on the latest, secure version

Websites are built from many building blocks — libraries and frameworks. The creators of these blocks regularly improve them, fix bugs and patch security holes. Technical updates means regularly checking and installing these new versions. It's like updating the system on your phone — worth doing, because new versions are safer and work better. We do this for you, making sure the update doesn't break anything.

24/7 security monitoringRound-the-clock protection against attacks and intrusions

The internet is full of automated bots trying to break into websites. 24/7 security monitoring means we continuously track suspicious activity — unusual login attempts, intrusion attempts, suspicious traffic. In the Premium package you also receive alerts — if we detect something worrying, we immediately inform you and take protective action.

Traffic analysisWe check how many people visit your website

Traffic analysis gives you information about your visitors: how many people come, where they come from (Google, Facebook, directly), which pages they browse, how long they spend on the site. This data helps you understand whether the site is doing its job. In the Premium package we not only collect this data but also analyse it and present findings — e.g. we noticed that 70% of people leave the site on the contact page — it might be worth simplifying the form.

Dedicated account managerOne person who knows your site and business

Instead of writing to a general email address where a different person always replies, you have a specific person assigned to you. This manager knows your site, your business, your needs. You don't have to explain everything from scratch every time. You always contact the same person, who remembers your site's history and your previous conversations. It's like having your own IT person on call.

Basic SEO optimisationWe help your site be visible in Google

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is actions that help your website appear higher in Google search results. As part of basic optimisation we check whether the site has correct titles and descriptions, whether it's fast, whether it works on mobile phones, whether it has the correct structure. This is not a full SEO campaign, but we make sure the site meets Google's basic requirements and doesn't lose positions due to technical errors.

Monthly email reportA summary of what happened with your site

Once a month we send you an email with a summary: how many people visited the site, whether there were any problems, what was updated, what edits we made. This way you know exactly what you're paying for and what's happening with your site, even if you rarely visit it yourself. It's a monthly health report for your website.
